FINDcures Receives $10,000 Donation
FINDcures received its largest single donation to date this month from the Bay Area Mobility Managers (B.A.M.M.) in the amount of $10,000. The entire Board of Directors wishes to thank the organization for this generous contribution. “This donation comes at a very important time for our organization. FINDcures made a $500 donation to USC to further their research in the area of neurology.
FINDcures Makes Donation to FragileX Association
FINDcures has made a $500 donation to the FragileX Association. Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) is the leading known cause of Autism. Approximately 2% – 6% of individuals with Autism have FXS. Director of Philanthropy Named

FINDcures Makes Donation to UCLA
A $250 donation was made to UCLA this month to help with their research in neurological diseases. As we continue to grow we look forward to being able to support programs such as those at UCLA. We thank our donors that make these contributions possible.
FINDcures Hosts First Annual Run/Walk Event
This month FINDcures hosted its First Annual Run/Walk at the William R. Mason Regional Park in Irvine, California.
Billy Blanks, seven-time Taekwondo World Champion and founder of the enormously popular “Taebo” Fitness Training Workout provided attendees with an informative fitness class and gave an inspirational and motivational speech. “We are very grateful to Billy for his support. It was exciting having him there.”, Scott Scoville – President, FINDcures.
The event resulted in a net contribution of $771 to FINDcures. Numerous attendees stated that they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and several offered their time and resources for next year’s event. Our Second Annual Run/Walk will be in April 2017. Stay tuned for future updates.
FINDcures Secures Two New Corporate Sponsors
The Southern California Relocation Council (S.C.R.C.) and the Bay Area Mobility Managers (B.A.M.M.) each have chosen FINDcures to be a favored charity for 2016 and 2017. Joshua Hyatt, Immediate Past President of S.C.R.C and William Taylor, President of B.A.M.M., made the announcements. This is an exciting development that was spearheaded by Mark Colo, Secretary – FINDcures. We are very excited about the potential for increased visibility and donations that this will provide the FINDcures organization.
Online Donations to FINDcures for 2015
During 2015, the FINDcures website generated online contributions in the net amount of $1,551.20. The FINDcures Board of Directors wishes to thank everyone that has contributed their time, talents and funds to helping bring the FINDcures mission to fruition. We look forward to 2016 and wish you all a prosperous New Year.
FINDcures Makes Donation to UCI
This month FINDcures made its first charitable donation to the University of California, Irvine’s Neurology Department. One of FINDcures‘ Founders, Mark Colo, presented a check in the amount of $500 to the U.C.I neurological research department in support of the work being done by Dr. Howard Federoff, Vice Chancellor of Health Affairs and Dean of Medicine for UCI. “We look forward to being able to continue supporting the important research that UCI’s Neurology Department is involved in.”, Mark Colo.
FINDcures Secures Trademark
FINDcures has completed the trademark registration process. Our logo, tagline (Finding cures, bringing hope) and the names FIND, FINDcures and the FINDcures.net domain name are now registered with the International Patent and Trademark Service.
First Fundraising Event
FINDcures successfully completed its first fundraising event with the generous support of the Irvine Chipotle Restaurant. The event resulted in a net contribution to FINDcures of over $400.00. “We appreciate Chipotle’s and the community’s support of our fledgling non-profit. The funds raised will help us to continue in our efforts to provide much needed services to those suffering from neurological diseases. We look forward to many more successful fundraising events in the future”, Alexander Black, Treasurer – FINDcures.
FINDcures Website is Up
FINDcures launched its website this month. This is an important step in our plans to increase awareness and provide the public with a secure and easy way to donate funds to the Foundation. As the organization matures, and as funds allow, we will continue to improve and expand upon this important communication and delivery tool.
Tax Exempt Status Approval
FINDcures has been granted Federal Tax Exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. This is an important milestone and will enable us to being fundraising activities. We have several fundraising events in the planning stages and now with this approval we can move forward with their execution. We are excited about this new development.
Articles of Nonprofit Incorporation Filed
The FINDcures Founders have completed filing Articles of Incorporation of a Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation with the State of California.
